Gallego Gazette: One Step Closer to an Expanded Child Tax Credit

Great news! This week, with my support, the House passed a bipartisan bill to extend and expand the Child Tax Credit (CTC)!

Growing up, my mom worked hard to raise four kids on her own, and I know that the expanded CTC would have made a big difference in our lives. The expanded CTC in our just-passed bill would give a much-needed tax break to everyday Arizona families and ensure that the benefit keeps up with the rising cost of living.

If passed, the expanded CTC is expected to benefit 424,000 Arizona children in its first year. The legislation now goes to the Senate, where I hope my colleagues will do the right thing and ensure its passage.
